Urban living in a suburban-style environment……

Our History

Jamaicaway Tower & Townhouses is located on a four-acre site, originally part of the Rueter estate (circa 1880) that included a mansion, carriage house, and riding stables. In 1964 the property was purchased by Ed McCormack (nephew of the former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, John McCormack) and Dr. Arnold Soloway. Together they formed the Jamaicaway Development Trust and built a thirty-story, high-rise building with fourteen townhouses, an outdoor pool, tennis court, in-door parking garage, and beautifully landscaped grounds.
